Fresh from Londontown DJ GETLIVE + LEE$ (MIDNIGHT ROCKERS EXPRESS) sent over some fresh tunes for our Music Monday. ROX who was part of the Summer Bubblers show at Cargo this past weekend. ROX is Rough Trade's newest artist. She cites her musical influences which vary in range from the likes of Lauryn Hill, Mary J, Elton John, Alanis Morrisette, Eva Cassidy, Sade & many more. She's been making major moves including a major co-sign by Ronson and a live cover of Valerie alongside Ronson + the band. last night en route to see "HANGOVER" which was pretty rad, I tried to stop in Virgin Megastore for my last goodbye, unfortunately at 10pm Virgin was closed, the lights weren't even turned on..so sad.. So today I made it a priority to stop by since it was their last day..unforunately by the time I made it to the store I was greeted by the signs below :(
Goodbye Virgin Megastore Union Sq, you will be missed. I will no longer be able to hop in at 11:59 on Monday evenings for that new Tuesday release. Or just decide to wander around your huge retail space in search of something new to listen to.
The Dream is over =(
